A sanctuary for the most vulnerable

Unless you were a foster kid, you may not understand what a magical place Freedom Farm is. It's a completely different planet from the things these kids were going through out in the world. The transformation into a sanctuary for the most vulnerable amongst us has been extremely moving for me... Just knowing there is a place like this left and incredible people giving way more of themselves than expected, brings me a type of peace I can't buy and wouldn't be able to afford if I could.

Sympathy alone does not change systems

As a former foster youth, I do not see foster care as a cause to admire from a distance. Sympathy alone does not change systems. Organized leaders, relationships, and capital do.

-Micah Kane, former foster child
